The ZJ50-3150L drilling rig is equipped with low-level drawworks installation and integrative chains compound box transmission. This rig is suitable for exploration and development of oil and natural gas reservoirs and is rated for a water depth of 5000 meters using114mm diameter drill pipe.

1. The ZJ50-3150L drilling rig adopts integrative compound drive system. Three (3) G12V190PZL-3/0 diesel engines with hydraulic coupling speed reducers are the rigs power units. The power of the three units is distributed to the 6-axle compounding transmission case, the two (2) cardan shafts drives, two (2) 1600 HP mud pumps separately. The output end of the compounding transmission case and input end of the drawworks use a cardan shaft connection. The power of the drawworks is transmitted via a drawworks angle transmission box, through the upper floor cardan shaft, drilling floor transmission box, cardan shafts, gear-box, torque meter, chains box and rotary table. The rotary table transmission box is assembled with an inertia brake. The automatic air compressor and energy-saving generator are driven by V-belt. All equipment in the control room are assembled on the 0.8m-high substructure.
2. Two (2) auxiliary diesel generator units incorporate power to the rig network and energy-saving generators supply the power of the drilling rig.
3. The drawworks uses a hydraulic disk brake as its main braking system. A 336WCBD EATON brake (or DS50 electromagnetic eddy brake) as its auxiliary brake. The electric speed reducer units are used for emergency drive and automatic feed.
4. The mast is a K type mast that is assembled in a lowered position and raised or lowered integrally. The mast also has the features of easy assembling, excellent stability with safety in mind And can be equipped with a 500 ton short top drive.
5. The height of the drilling floor is 9m with a swing up substructure. The main components of the drilling floor are assembled in a lowered position and wholly lifted up and laid down by the drawworks. The substructure is piled box structure.
6. The drilling rig is assembled with overrun limit valves, electronic protector devices and gas-liquid chain controls. A manual driller control cabin, fuses, gas meter, liquid meter, drilling meter and TV monitoring are combined into one unit.
